The Dallas Cowboys are currently focused on filling their head coaching vacancy following Mike McCarthy's departure. Owner Jerry Jones is faced with the challenge of selecting a new coach, while speculation swirls around potential candidates. Regardless of who takes the helm, the Cowboys possess a wealth of talent, including franchise quarterback Dak Prescott, elite wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, and standout pass rusher Micah Parsons.
Despite this promising roster, several gaps need to be addressed, prompting a look ahead to the 2025 NFL Draft with a three-round mock draft.
In the first round, the Cowboys are projected to select Tyler Warren, a tight end from Penn State. Although tight end isn’t a primary need, Warren's exceptional ability as a pass-catcher, evidenced by his 104 receptions for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns, makes him a valuable asset.
In the second round, the team aims to bolster its defensive line by selecting T.J. Sanders, a defensive tackle from South Carolina, who had 8.5 sacks in the past two seasons. This would serve as a replacement for Osa Odighizuwa, who enters free agency.
Lastly, in the third round, the Cowboys could add running back Quinshon Judkins from Ohio State, who previously amassed 2,725 yards and 31 touchdowns in college. This addition seeks to enhance their running back unit alongside Rico Dowdle, who previously made franchise history.
