Damarri Mathis suffered an ankle injury early in the game against the Cardinals, just 52 seconds into play, while attempting to tackle Tony Jones. He immediately grabbed his lower right leg and was carted off for X-rays. Mathis is now questionable to return and has been vying for a starting cornerback position opposite Patrick Surtain, with Riley Moss appearing to be the frontrunner. A fourth-round pick in 2022, Mathis has played 33 games in his career with 17 starts, registering 100 tackles and pass breakups.
