Ehlinger, 26, brings experience from four seasons with the Colts, where he made three starts in 2022, losing all three games with a 76.1 passer rating. His signing suggests that the Broncos might forgo selecting a quarterback in the upcoming NFL Draft, as they explore other potential free agent options. Denver currently has around $17 million in cap space, but further big signings may be limited, especially in the running back department, which Head Coach Sean Payton described as a “pretty lean” market this year.
