The Denver Broncos have placed running back Tyler Badie on injured reserve following a serious back injury sustained during their Week 4 victory against the New York Jets. Badie was carted off the field after a hit from Jets linebacker Quincy Williams, and while he was initially hopeful for a quick return, the decision to place him on IR has been made.
This setback comes as Badie was beginning to make an impact, following a strong performance in Week 3. He joins rookie Audric Estime on IR, leaving the Broncos with a trio of running backs: Javonte Williams, Jaleel McLaughlin, and Blake Watson for their upcoming game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Rookie linebacker Levelle Bailey has been elevated to the gameday roster as well.
