The Jacksonville Jaguars have lost running back depth as Velus Jones has been signed by the Carolina Panthers from the Jaguars' practice squad. Jones, who was previously with the Chicago Bears, did not see any game action during his time with Jacksonville.
Jones was a third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and has experience as a kick and punt returner. His departure comes after the Jaguars' rookie running back Keilan Robinson made his debut, which has contributed to Jones's limited role.
