The Jacksonville Jaguars are celebrating two Pro Bowl selections this year: punter Logan Cooke and long snapper Ross Matiscik. This is Cooke's first Pro Bowl selection, while Matiscik has earned the honor for the second consecutive year. In the current season, Cooke has made 64 punts for a total of 3,159 yards, achieving an impressive net punting average of 44.7 yards, which leads the AFC and ranks second in the NFL. Notably, 32 of his punts have landed inside the 20-yard line, showcasing his precision.
Matiscik, on the other hand, has contributed significantly on special teams, participating in 116 snaps and recording two tackles. His Pro Football Focus special teams grade of 81.9 ranks second among NFL long snappers, indicating his strong performance. Additionally, the Jaguars have three alternates for the Pro Bowl: wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., defensive end Travon Walker, and defensive end Josh Hines-Allen. Coach Doug Pederson praised Thomas's potential, comparing him to elite receivers like Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson.
