The Las Vegas Raiders are undergoing a complete overhaul this offseason, having recently parted ways with both head coach Antonio Pierce and general manager Tom Telesco. Following Telesco's dismissal, the Raiders released a statement expressing gratitude for his contributions while preparing for a new direction.
Telesco's tenure lasted just one season, marked by a disappointing 4–13 record largely attributed to ongoing issues at quarterback, with Aidan O'Connell and Gardner Minshew alternating as starters amid injuries and inconsistent play. Under his leadership, the Raiders had high hopes with the No. 13 pick, selecting Georgia’s Brock Bowers, who set rookie records as a tight end.
The 52-year-old Telesco previously served as the general manager for the Los Angeles Chargers, a position he held for 11 years before his dismissal in late 2023. During his time with the Chargers, the team achieved an overall record of 88–108, securing only two playoff victories. The Raiders now face the challenge of finding a new general manager and head coach, with minority owner Tom Brady poised to play a pivotal role in these critical decisions.
