Gardner Minshew has been named the starting quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders' upcoming game against the Miami Dolphins, as confirmed by head coach Antonio Pierce. Despite a challenging season and a rotation of quarterbacks, Pierce believes Minshew offers the best chance for success.
The Raiders, currently at 2-7, have struggled with consistency at the quarterback position, cycling through Minshew, Aidan O’Connell, and Desmond Ridder. Minshew's performance this season has included 1,501 passing yards, six touchdowns, and eight interceptions.
With the team having recently fired several coaches and brought in Norv Turner as a senior adviser, Pierce remains hopeful that the bye week will help the team regroup and improve moving forward.
