The Los Angeles Chargers have activated safety Alohi Gilman from injured reserve just in time for their regular season finale against the Las Vegas Raiders. Gilman, who has been sidelined for the past five games due to a hamstring injury, is anticipated to make an impact as the Chargers prepare for the playoffs with a 10-6 record.
This season, Gilman has made significant contributions, starting in 10 games and accumulating 47 tackles along with an interception. However, the Chargers are facing a challenge at the safety position following the injury to Elijah Molden, who suffered a broken fibula in a recent game against New England.
In addition to Molden's injury, the team will also be without linebacker Denzel Perryman, who has been ruled out for the game due to a groin issue. Furthermore, running back Gus Edwards and wide receiver Josh Palmer have also been declared out due to their respective injuries. To bolster their roster, the Chargers have elevated wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick and safety Eddie Jackson from the practice squad.
