The Los Angeles Chargers have opted not to elevate Ezekiel Elliott from the practice squad ahead of their AFC wild-card clash against the Houston Texans this Saturday. Elliott, a former Dallas Cowboys star, joined the Chargers' practice squad recently and participated in three practices after being released by Dallas on December 31. His signing was intended to bolster the team’s backfield for the playoffs.
This decision comes alongside a series of roster moves for the Chargers. They activated cornerback Eli Apple and wide receiver Simi Fehoko from injured reserve, while placing defensive back Ja’Sir Taylor on IR. Additionally, safety Eddie Jackson and running back Jaret Patterson have been elevated from the practice squad.
