The Miami Dolphins have officially ruled out two players for their upcoming Week 17 game against the Cleveland Browns, while one of their key players, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, remains questionable due to a knee issue. Tagovailoa was limited in practice during the week but was previously removed from the injury report before the game against the San Francisco 49ers. His availability for the game against the Browns could hinge on the Dolphins' playoff hopes, which could be dashed if both the Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos secure victories on Saturday.
Alongside Tagovailoa, several other players are also questionable, including Terron Armstead, Jaylen Waddle, Dee Eskridge, Tyreek Hill, and Jordan Poyer, all of whom were limited in practice. On the positive side, linebacker Jordyn Brooks, who had been dealing with quad and knee injuries, has been cleared to play against Cleveland. In contrast, cornerback Kendall Fuller and linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. have been ruled out, leading to potential changes in the Dolphins' starting lineup.
On the other side, the Cleveland Browns have also faced injury challenges, ruling out three players including their star tight end David Njoku due to a knee injury. Defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo and wide receiver Cedric Tillman have also been ruled out for the game. Quarterback Jameis Winston is listed as questionable with a shoulder injury, but coach Kevin Stefanski has confirmed that Dorian Thompson-Robinson will start after being cleared from a calf injury. Meanwhile, wide receiver Jerry Jeudy remains a concern as he continues to deal with knee and shin issues.
