Robert Jones and the Norfolk State men’s basketball team have adopted local classrooms in Hampton Roads, shifting from their typical back-to-school event to directly supporting schools with supplies. He emphasized the importance of community involvement and giving back, showcasing to his players that the program extends beyond the basketball court. Seven schools are benefiting from this initiative, selected through community engagement via social media. Jones plans to spend time with the classrooms and strengthen the bond between the team and their community throughout the year.
