The Minnesota Vikings have placed rookie kicker Will Reichard and All-Pro long snapper Andrew DePaola on injured reserve, necessitating a midseason change at these crucial positions for at least four games.

To fill these roles, the Vikings are expected to sign kicker John Parker Romo and long snapper Jake McQuaide. Romo has yet to make his NFL debut, while McQuaide brings extensive experience, including a decade with the Los Angeles Rams.

Reichard has been impressive this season, maintaining a 94.9% field-goal rate, while DePaola is recovering from hand surgery. Both players are eligible to return on December 8 against Atlanta.
