The New Orleans Saints suffered a 21-14 defeat against the Los Angeles Rams, missing a chance to improve their standing in the NFC South as the Atlanta Falcons also lost. The Saints' defense struggled against the run, allowing 156 rushing yards.
Running back Kyren Williams led the Rams with 104 yards and a touchdown, while Alvin Kamara was a bright spot for New Orleans with 112 rushing yards. Quarterback Derek Carr had an underwhelming performance, throwing for 184 yards and one touchdown.
Compounding the Saints' woes, Taysom Hill was carted off with a knee injury and Tyrann Mathieu sustained a shoulder injury. Next week, New Orleans will face the New York Giants, who are also having a tough season.
