The NFL Players Association has unveiled its third annual All-Pro team, recognizing standout performers from the league, including two players from the Philadelphia Eagles. Running back Saquon Barkley made history by rushing for 2,005 yards this season, becoming only the ninth player in NFL history to surpass 2,000 yards despite sitting out the final week. His impressive season fell just short of Eric Dickerson's single-season record of 2,105 yards and ranks as the eighth-most rushing yards in a single season ever recorded.
Barkley's achievement also contributed significantly to the Eagles' overall rushing offense, which set a franchise record with 3,048 rushing yards. This performance places Philadelphia among only two teams in NFL history to rush for over 3,000 yards and score more than 25 touchdowns in a single season, joining the 1978 New England Patriots. Additionally, Jalen Carter, a second-year defensive tackle, was also honored as an All-Pro for his defensive prowess, achieving 4.5 sacks and 45 pressures this season despite facing numerous double teams.
