Despite acquiring Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, their current roster lacks a prototypical 'X' receiver, leading the franchise to explore options in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Recently, they conducted a private workout with Traeshon Holden, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound wide receiver from Oregon. He previously played at Alabama, where he was coached by Nick Saban. Holden's performance in 2024, particularly his chemistry with quarterback Dillon Gabriel, showcased potential with 45 receptions for 718 yards and five touchdowns. Though he ran a respectable 4.57 at the NFL Combine, he is viewed more as a possession receiver compared to Metcalf's explosive style.
