The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed offensive guard Max Scharping to replace James Daniels, who is out for the season due to a torn Achilles injury. Scharping, previously with the Washington Commanders practice squad, has experience in both guard positions and was a second-round pick by the Houston Texans in 2019.
With Daniels sidelined, rookie Mason McCormick is anticipated to start at right guard, while Spencer Anderson will serve as his backup. The Steelers are also monitoring Isaac Seumalo's recovery from a pectoral injury, which may affect the lineup further.
