San Francisco 49ers rookie Ricky Pearsall has been placed on the non-football injury list following a shooting incident during an attempted robbery.

The young receiver was hospitalized after being shot in the chest on Saturday but has since been released.

As he recovers, Pearsall will miss at least four games. His roster spot has been filled by signing tackle Brandon Parker.
