The Seattle Seahawks are optimistic about Uchenna Nwosu's recovery from a knee injury after not placing him on injured reserve.
General manager John Schneider is hopeful Nwosu may return early in the season, despite initial injury reports suggesting he could be out for two to six weeks.
The team's defense struggled without him last year, and his quick return would be crucial.
In the meantime, the Seahawks acquired Trevis Gipson for added depth.
Abraham Lucas will start the year on the reserve/PUP list but is expected to return in 2024.
