Safety Jordan Whitehead has returned to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a brief period with the New York Jets. He was originally drafted by the Bucs in 2018 and recently signed a two-year, $9 million contract with them. General Manager Jason Licht admitted regret in letting Whitehead go due to salary cap constraints.
During his time with the Bucs, Whitehead played in 59 games, starting 55, with five interceptions and 292 combined tackles. In his two years with the Jets, he started all 34 games he played in, with six interceptions and 186 combined tackles.
