The Buccaneers signed edge rusher Randy Gregory to a one-year deal after interest from other teams. Gregory, previously with the Cowboys, Broncos, and 49ers, joins his fourth team in four years. He brings experience with 22 sacks and 69 quarterback hits.

The team needed help at outside linebacker, with Joe Tryon-Shoyinka and Yaya Diaby expected to start. Gregory will share snaps with Nelson, Watts, and Ramirez in the rotation.
