The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are making a significant change at punter for the 2024 NFL season, waiving Trenton Gill due to his poor performance. Gill's average of 43.3 yards per punt and a net of 38.9 yards were not enough to keep him on the roster, especially after a particularly troubling game against the Carolina Panthers.

With Gill's release, the Buccaneers may either hold tryouts for a new punter or promote Jack Browning from the practice squad.
