The Tampa Bay Buccaneers started their season with an impressive 37-20 victory against the Washington Commanders. The Bucs showcased a powerful offense and a strong defensive performance, significantly limiting rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and standout receiver Terry McLaurin.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield excelled under new offensive coordinator Liam Coen, completing 24 of 30 passes for 289 yards and four touchdowns. The rookies made significant contributions as well, particularly running back Bucky Irving and center Graham Barton.
However, the game wasn't without its challenges, as injuries piled up on the defensive side, including to cornerback Zyon McCollum and Bryce Hall, the latter suffering a season-ending injury.
