When defensive tackle Byron Murphy II and wide receiver Xavier Worthy were picked in the first round of the NFL draft Thursday, it was only the beginning for the Longhorns, who had a strong showing in the draft.
Texas had a total of 11 players selected, the most since 1994. Tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders was the first player picked on Saturday, heading to the Panthers.
Other Longhorns like linebacker Jaylan Ford and receiver Jordan Whittington also found their NFL homes in the draft, showcasing the talent coming out of Austin.
