The Atlanta Falcons achieved their first special teams touchdown of the season against the New Orleans Saints, thanks to a crucial mistake by wide receiver Rashid Shaheed.
After Shaheed muffed a punt from Bradley Pinion, the ball ended up in the end zone, where Falcons safety Micah Abernathy and wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge secured the touchdown. This early score gave the Falcons a 7-0 lead, with Younghoe Koo adding the extra point.
Though Hodge has not played on offense this season, his special teams skills proved vital in this important NFC South matchup.
