The Cleveland Browns received encouraging news regarding injuries ahead of their Week 9 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Star cornerback Denzel Ward, who had been in concussion protocol, has been cleared to play after limited participation in practice.

Veteran guard Joel Bitonio also returned without an injury designation, while linebackers Jordan Hicks and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah were ruled out, with Owusu-Koramoah moving to injured reserve.

For the Chargers, edge rusher Joey Bosa is active despite a hip injury, but wide receiver D.J. Chark will not play.
