The Dallas Cowboys have initiated their coaching search following the departure of Mike McCarthy by interviewing Kellen Moore, the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive coordinator. Moore previously served as a play-caller for the Cowboys from 2019 to 2022, successfully guiding Dak Prescott during that period. His recent work with the Eagles has included overseeing Saquon Barkley's historic 2,000-yard rushing season. The Cowboys have plans to interview former NFL head coaches Robert Saleh and Leslie Frazier next.
In addition, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has discussed the possibility of hiring Deion Sanders, the head coach at Colorado, a former Cowboys player and Super Bowl champion. Former tight end Jason Witten's name has also emerged as a candidate for the coaching position.
