The Dallas Cowboys face new defensive challenges as defensive tackle Jordan Phillips heads to the Injured Reserve list due to a wrist injury, sidelining him for at least four games.

In response to his absence, the Cowboys have re-signed familiar player Carlos Watkins, who previously played in Dallas and has experience under former coordinator Dan Quinn. While Watkins may not start, he brings valuable experience and could quickly find his place within the lineup.
