Josh Butler, cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, suffered a season-ending ACL injury during a game against the New York Giants. The injury occurred in a noncontact play while defending against Darius Slayton. Cowboys executive Stephen Jones confirmed the news, stating Butler will undergo surgery.
Butler had previously impressed with a strong performance against the Washington Commanders, leading the team in tackles. He expressed gratitude on social media, vowing to return stronger.
Additionally, safety Juanyeh Thomas sustained a meniscus injury during the same game and is expected to miss two to three weeks. Jerry Jones remains hopeful about the return of CeeDee Lamb and DeMarcus Lawrence for the upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
