The Dallas Cowboys have placed wide receiver Brandin Cooks on injured reserve due to a knee infection, sidelining him for at least four games. Cooks, who is the team's No. 2 receiver, had already been ruled out for a game against Pittsburgh and will be eligible to return on November 10 against Philadelphia.
His absence opens the door for rookie Ryan Flournoy to make his NFL debut, while Jalen Tolbert is expected to step up in Cooks' role behind All-Pro CeeDee Lamb.
