The Broncos signed veteran inside linebacker Cody Barton to a one-year deal. Barton spent the 2023 season in Washington after four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. He had a career-best 136 tackles and two sacks in 2022.

With Josey Jewell leaving for the Carolina Panthers, Barton adds depth at inside linebacker for the Broncos. The team has also welcomed safety Brandon Jones and defensive tackle Malcolm Roach via free agency this offseason.
