The Detroit Lions have announced their roster cuts, reducing their squad to 53 players. Notable releases include cornerbacks Essang Bassey and Javelin Guidry, and wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones.
Additionally, several players were waived, including linebacker Mitchell Agude and quarterback Nate Sudfeld. Defensive lineman David Bada was waived with an injury designation, while offensive lineman Christian Mahogany was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list.
Both cornerback Emmanuel Moseley and defensive lineman Brodric Martin were placed on injured reserve but are eligible to return after four weeks.
