The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to prioritize selecting a wide receiver in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft on April 24. With several other positional needs such as cornerback, defensive line, and running back, the focus remains on bolstering the receiver corps. Currently, Tetairoa McMillan is widely regarded as the top receiver prospect, closely followed by Emeka Egbuka from Ohio State. There's uncertainty surrounding Egbuka's availability when the Steelers pick at No. 21, but if he remains on the board, he could very well be the choice for Pittsburgh.

Egbuka's collegiate performance has been impressive. In 2021, he recorded 74 receptions for 1,151 yards and 10 touchdowns, placing him among the top ten in receiving yards across the FBS. Though he faced setbacks due to injury in 2022, he rebounded impressively as a senior with 81 catches for 1,011 yards and another 10 touchdowns. His skill set includes versatility as he has operated primarily in the slot, showcasing excellent route-running ability and toughness, traits that could translate well to the NFL.
