The Kansas City Chiefs have bolstered their injury-riddled secondary by signing veteran cornerback Steven Nelson to their practice squad. Nelson, who has nine seasons of NFL experience, came out of retirement to rejoin the team that drafted him in 2015.
With Jaylen Watson sidelined due to a broken ankle and other cornerbacks dealing with injuries, the Chiefs hope Nelson can provide much-needed depth. Coach Andy Reid praised Nelson's past contributions and his development into a starting cornerback.
