The Los Angeles Chargers have placed wide receiver DJ Chark Jr. on injured reserve due to a hip injury sustained during practice.
Chark, who joined the team in May and has extensive experience, will miss a minimum of four games. Quentin Johnston is anticipated to start in his absence as the Chargers prepare for their season opener against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Additionally, the Chargers signed tight end Eric Tomlinson and elevated linebacker Shaquille Quarterman from the practice squad.
