The Minnesota Vikings have placed rookie kicker Will Reichard and All-Pro long snapper Andrew DePaola on injured reserve, necessitating changes at crucial positions for at least four games.
To fill these roles, the Vikings are expected to sign kicker John Parker Romo and long snapper Jake McQuaide. Romo, who has yet to play in a regular-season NFL game, previously kicked for the San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL.
McQuaide, a seasoned long snapper with 14 years of NFL experience, has played for teams including the Rams, Cowboys, and Lions.
