J.J. McCarthy, the Minnesota Vikings quarterback, recently received an injection in his right knee to manage swelling during his rehabilitation. Coach Kevin O’Connell confirmed that the 10th overall pick in the NFL draft had torn his meniscus in August, leading to season-ending surgery.
Despite the setback, McCarthy is making positive strides, attending meetings and practices regularly. O’Connell noted his growth and eagerness to learn behind starter Sam Darnold and veteran backups Nick Mullens and Brett Rypien.
