Christian Barmore, the New England Patriots defensive lineman, is poised to return for the upcoming offseason after being cleared from the non-football illness list due to treatment for blood clots. Coach Mike Vrabel noted Barmore's improved energy during a recent visit to the training room, indicating that he might fully participate in the voluntary offseason program starting April 7.

Barmore's injury-laden last season saw him miss the first ten games before returning for four others, but further symptoms forced him back to the sidelines. His previous performance includes a total of six tackles and one sack in a limited role last season. The 25-year-old defensive tackle signed a hefty four-year extension worth up to $92 million, which was the largest contract offered to any Patriots player aside from Tom Brady.
