The New York Giants have placed receiver Gunner Olszewski on injured reserve due to a groin injury sustained during warmups for their season opener against the Minnesota Vikings.

Head coach Brian Daboll indicated that Olszewski could be out for several weeks. In his absence, Ihmir Smith-Marsette will take over punt return duties. Additionally, linebackers Tomon Fox and Ty Summers have been elevated from the practice squad for their upcoming matchup against the Washington Commanders, filling roles on special teams.
