Jacoby Windmon has been signed by the Carolina Panthers from the Pittsburgh Steelers' practice squad to their 53-man roster. He started his collegiate career at UNLV, where he recorded 169 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, and 12 sacks over three seasons. After transferring to Michigan State, he accumulated 64 tackles and 6.5 sacks in 11 games. Windmon was initially released during final roster cuts but was brought back to the Steelers' practice squad in early October. He has yet to make an NFL regular-season appearance, primarily playing as a linebacker in coverage rather than rushing the passer. With the Panthers dealing with defensive injuries, he could quickly step into a significant role.
