The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks are battling injuries ahead of their Thursday Night Football game. The 49ers have officially placed safety Talanoa Hufanga on injured reserve due to ligament damage, sidelining him for four games. Kicker Jake Moody is also out with a high ankle sprain.
Other key players missing include defensive lineman Jordan Elliott and linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles. However, tight end George Kittle and linebacker Fred Warner are cleared to play. The Seahawks will also be without several starters, including Byron Murphy II and Riq Woolen.
In response to Hufanga's absence, rookie Malik Mustafa will step in at safety. Newly signed kicker Matthew Wright will handle kicking duties for the 49ers, who may also call up defensive linemen from the practice squad.
