Cade York was released by the Washington Commanders after missing two field goal attempts in a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He struggled with a 47-yard miss in the first quarter and another from 56 yards on the opening drive of the second half, despite successfully converting both of his extra-point attempts. Previously, he played with the Cleveland Browns, where he was replaced last season and subsequently traded to Washington. His time with the Commanders was short-lived as the team sought more reliable kicking after releasing Brandon McManus earlier in the season.
