Max Scharping is expected to be signed by the Steelers from the Commanders' practice squad to add depth to their offensive line following James Daniels' season-ending injury. A second-round pick in the 2019 draft, Scharping has played in 48 games with 33 starts during his time with the Texans and later the Bengals. Although he has not seen regular season action this year, his versatility in playing both guard positions will be valuable as the Steelers deal with multiple injuries on their offensive line.
