The Washington Commanders are signing quarterback Trace McSorley, previously coached by Kliff Kingsbury, to address their roster needs due to Sam Hartman's injury. McSorley has experience from his time with the Cardinals and other teams.

Alongside McSorley, the Commanders also have Marcus Mariota and Jeff Driskel on their depth chart. Meanwhile, they are releasing offensive lineman Mason Brooks as part of their roster adjustments.
