The Houston Texans have officially waived wide receiver Diontae Johnson as they prepare for their divisional-round matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Johnson's time with the Texans was short-lived, having participated in only two games where he totaled three receptions for 24 yards.
Head coach DeMeco Ryans acknowledged the situation, stating that the team is moving forward despite Johnson's struggles. The 28-year-old had previously been acquired from the Baltimore Ravens but quickly found himself unhappy with his role and was even suspended for conduct issues during his tenure.
