BJ Thompson has been on the non-football illness list since the summer and will continue to remain there into the fall as the Chiefs reduce their roster to 53 players. He experienced cardiac arrest following a seizure during a June team meeting. While there is hope for his return later in the season, he is confirmed to be out for at least the first four games. Thompson was drafted in the fifth round last year and recorded two tackles in his only regular season appearance.
