Christian McCaffrey has returned to practice for the San Francisco 49ers after a lengthy stint on injured reserve due to Achilles tendinitis. If all goes well, he could make his season debut against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Coach Kyle Shanahan noted that McCaffrey has experienced no setbacks during his recovery. The 49ers, currently at a 4-4 record, have managed to maintain a strong running game in his absence, but McCaffrey's impact on the passing game and red-zone efficiency has been missed.
