The Carolina Panthers signed former Buffalo Bills cornerback Dane Jackson. He replaces Donte Jackson in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jackson is expected to compete for a starting job.

General manager Dan Morgan was involved in selecting Jackson in the 2020 draft. The Panthers also re-signed Troy Hill and Ihmir Smith-Marsette but released Hayden Hurst, Bradley Bozeman, and Vonn Bell from last season's lineup.
