For the first time, Fox will stream the Super Bowl on Tubi, allowing fans to watch the game for free on February 9. This initiative targets streamers and cord-cutters, expanding access to the highly anticipated event.
Tubi, an ad-supported streaming service owned by Fox since 2020, will not only offer the Super Bowl but also the pregame show hosted on the platform. The pre-show, titled 'Tubi Red Carpet,' will feature Olivia Culpo live from the Superdome in New Orleans. Culpo is notably married to Christian McCaffrey, the star running back for the San Francisco 49ers.
The Super Bowl broadcast will also be available across various platforms, including Fox, Fox Deportes, Telemundo, and the NFL's digital properties. While competing networks have successfully leveraged their streaming services for sports content, Fox has yet to enter this subscriber-based market, maintaining its focus on traditional broadcasting. The company had previously aimed to join Venu's sports streaming service but recently withdrew from the venture.
