Isaiah Hodgins has signed a reserve/futures contract with the San Francisco 49ers after not being retained by the New York Giants. Originally drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2020, Hodgins joined the Giants in 2022, where he made a significant impact despite injury setbacks. He played in eight games that season, recording 33 catches for 351 yards and four touchdowns, including a notable performance in the Wild Card win against the Minnesota Vikings.
In the 2023 season, Hodgins’ role diminished, resulting in fewer targets and receptions. Despite being signed to a one-year deal, he was unable to secure a place on the Giants' 53-man roster and spent most of the year on the practice squad, contributing minimally in terms of targets and yardage.
